What is an Enough DNA kit?

Enough’s DNA kit includes a DNA swab, a water vial and an instruction manual. This is also available to read online, and via audio recording.

The DNA kit is designed for people who do not want to report to the police or a SARC, allowing you to self-test in privacy and decide later what you want to do.

The kit works for all genders, on many different parts of the body and can be used after showering.

You simply unseal the swab, read the options for where to use the swab, log it with your online account, put it back in the pre paid envelope and post it overnight to the lab.

Who does the testing?
Our partner is a leading UK lab.

The results will come 1 working day after the lab receives your sample. Your sample will be delivered to the lab overnight as long as you are before the last collection.

We freeze half the sample before testing. This means it can be passed on to the police (if you ever want to). After testing the other half, we keep it for 20 years unless you tell us otherwise.

We’ll send you an email to tell you when your results are available on your account. It will say how many DNA profiles were found in the sample (eg 1 male, 1 female). The results belong to you and no one else.
